Community Builder

Your People are out there. Honest true.

It's possible to find people like you and connect with them.

I’ve been connecting people my whole life and I would love to help you build your own community, online or off. If you are on a community building journey, I would love to share what I’ve learned. Let’s talk.

Growing up on the Canadian prairies, I learned about the importance of community at a very young age. Whether it was watching neighbours come together to help each other on the farm or forming community associations in the city to build a vibrant neighbourhood, the power of groups was burned into me early and often.

I spent over 10 years as a community builder in the River Heights neighbourhood in my hometown of Regina Saskatchewan, holding pretty much every role in our local community association and working to hold onto our strong public library system.

Heck, even our bakery had a big community focus. Great local businesses are as much a part of keeping a community strong as good neighbours and robust public services.

Now that pretty much anyone in the world can connect with each other, I've been actively building strong communities online as well.

the Right Company

the Right Company is a global community of entrepreneurs, business owners and creative folks who have one thing in common: a strong desire to build a viable business they’re proud of on their own terms.

Launched with my friend Bernadette Jiwa, we've created a safe space for people to come together, share their business struggles and work through them together. It's a true global community, with members from Perth to Cape Town and Idaho to Bulgaria and all parts in between.

The members of the Right Company are proving to themselves that physical location and time zones can be overcome and real community can be built.

When a candle maker in rural Australia helps an author in northern Scotland, my heart swells with joy.

Find Your Community. Or Build It.

Our world needs strong community, places where we and the people we care about feel like they belong. If you have been thinking of starting your own community, if you're struggling to find the others, or if you have found Your People and want to build a space for them, I can help. Let's talk.

I coach, advise, and support the builders among us, those of us (like me) who, person by person, want to build a better world where people have a place.
